I've definitely seen this book before. It's driving me nuts that I can't think of the title!!!!!

Sorry to be late! I couldn't get on yesterday. So - the quote was from S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders ( a book I absolutely love.) The reader's level might be a bit old compared to the age range in CB, so I guess I should have chosen better, but I couldn't resist.

All right, new quote. Let's see . . .

“If you are going to live in a house made of candy, don't move
next door to a couple of obese kids. A lot of these fairy-tale
characters are missing common sense.”

Anyone know?

It isn't from any The Land of Stories books is it? I vaguely remember reading those...

Yes, it is from one of the books; the first one. Your turn!

Hmmmm.... I wanted to post one from The Secret Life of Bees... but that might be above the age level around here.

Here is my quote:

It was monday, and they walked on a tightrope to the sun.

I will give you a hint if you cannot guess.

Is it The Book Thief?

I only know that because I've heard it a lot. I never actually read the book.

Hmmm... I am not sure if I have read this book.

All right, since no one's guessing, I'll answer. I swear - Butterfly didn't tell me the answer, and I did purpously wait a few days to see if anyone else knew it.

The bok is Cinderellis and the Glass Hill by Gail Carson Levine. (And yes, it did take me more than a while to figure that one out.)

New quote:

"I don't understand it any more than you do, but one thing I've learned is that you don't have to understand things for them to be."

I know this! I know this! It's on the tip of my tongue! BUT WHAT IS IT?!?!?! I recognize the quote, but I have absolutely no idea where I might have read it.

I don't see how her being cyborg is relevant.
