Chatterbox: Blab About Books

The Mysterious Benedict Society
Who here has...

Who here has read these? I have. I really enjoyed them. I also read the one about Mr. Benedict's education. It was just as good! Anyways, my favorite character is Constance. She is so hilarious! Who is your favorite character from the Mysterious Benedict Society?

I love this series! I think the first book and the prequel are best, and my favourite character is either Reynie or Kate. And Mr. Benedict, of course!

I was OBSESSED with MBS in 4th and 5th grade! I still love them, but haven't re-read them in a while.  My favorite character is Kate.

Oh, I read these a while ago. They're pretty good, but not on my list of favorites. And I agree with you, MagicDragon. Constance is HILARIOUS!!!

I've read all four books; the trilogy and Mr. Benedict's growing up. I can't decide who I like best, out of all of the four. They are each special to me.

Omigosh! I had no idea there were so many MBS lovers on the CB! I thought maybe CaptainRead and I were the only ones. I haven't reread them in a while either, Ivy; however, I sometimes go over to the bookshelves and stroke their covers. (Does anyone else do this to their favorite books? Or am I just odd?) My favorite character is Reynie, definitely.

I am faintly surprised! I would have thought you were more of a Warriors type, or at least Septimus Heap.. (Not that I have read Warriors. I tried in third grade and haven't tried again) Or maybe Huckelberry Finn. Yeah, Huckelberry Finn and Tom Sawyer. But don't get me wrong! MBS are on my list of good books. I recommend them to everybody. (I make jokes about them all the time. My friends haven't read them, though. I have to pester to get them to read stuff)

I second you there on Warriors. Smile I like stories with talking animals, I mean Narnia is amazing, but something about Warriors...

Yeah... Quite weird to be a boy and like Warriors. I never really liked Narnia (It was all to terribly confusing). BUT AFADASDFSFJDLFJSLFJSLFJSLFJS; MBS IS AMAZINGGGG!!!!

@Squeak

I'd have to disagree with you- I love Narnia, although I haven't quite finished the series yet. And I'm sorry to all the Myserious Benedict Society lovers- I read the first book and I didn't quite like it...

You really need to try the Warriors series again! IT'S THE BEST (AND LONGEST, BUT STILL)!!!

LOL, I'm just getting my younger brother in to this series!
I absolutely LOVE the MBS!!! I am a total Reynie, if I do say so myself. COnstance cracks me up- and her poetry?!?! Totally comical! I actually knida think the Ten Men are cool- acutally, I just like their inventive weapondry.

My favorite book in the series is the last one- I love how tangled the plot gets! Though, the first one is pretty epic. I wasn't so fond of Education of Nicholas Benedict the first time around, but the second time it was much better.

Does anyone else have the puzzle book? I was able to solve all but three puzzles- my friend solved them later, quite rapidly. Embarassing, she thought it was hilarious:)
