Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Twilight stinks
Worst book I...

Worst book I ever read........

Please don't get on my case for disliking this book. I just had to get it out of my system.

Never read it, but I'm going to take everyone's word for it. I don't go in for romantic teen fantasy anyway.

Ditto that Everinne.

Agreed. I couldn't even finish it.

There's no plot, just romance. I like a little romance in books,  just as long as it doesn't take over the story.

If you hate the book, don't watch the movie. (Is TERRRRRRRABLE!)

I have not read the books. I saw the first movie, which was good for large quantities of spasmic laughter during parts I suppose were supposed to be soul-stirring, but we're mostly pret-ty cheesy. Kristen Stewart kept biting her lip. Doesn't that hurt after a while? I want to read the books because I try not to judge books by their movies, and out of curiosity because of the people who do in fact like the series, but...I don't know, if they're really that bad...what specifically was the thing that bothered you the most about it? The whole too much romance thing, like you've been saying? Permission to rant.

Dear Sarah,

Do not read Twilight! It will fry your brain.

My brain does seem like a good thing not to fry.

1. Edward's relationship with Bella is abusive. And it's portrayed as a normal romantic relationship. How about no.

2. Too much romance. :/

3. Sparkly vampires. Why???

4. The fantasy creatures have far too much self-control for my tastes. I want evil vampires and werewolves!

Also, the writing it terrible! Look up Reasoning with Vampires if you want to laugh your head off at how lame Stephenie Meyer's writing is. I mean seriously, did she even have an editor?!

Can't find many really good authors now days. Of course there are still good authors, just not as good as Eva Ibbotson, or Tolkien, and all those authors. Please do not take anything personal, it is merely an opinion.

The authors now days just don't meet up to the standard of Eva Ibbotson, Tolkien. Please don't put this against me, it is merely my opinion.

Eva Ibbotson I love. Tolkien, not so much.

Okay, I won't read Twilight for now.

Can someone please explain the sparkly vampire thing? I've seen it mentioned at least a dozen times, but when is the term actually used in the book? Please specify.
