Um, well, hello Magic Dragon. Welcome to the CB, since you didn't post a post that I can see that says you're new here. I be the Moss, a Whovian, Sherlockian, Potterhead, avid reader and writer and more.

Anyway, to answer the questions:

1. What is your favorite book?

Are you trying to torture me?! I have no favorite book! I have favorites but not one favorite book. I do especially like The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Ship Of Her Own Making, though, and the Wondla trilogy, and Percy Jackson. And The Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns. (I mean, it mentions Roscoe, NY, and I got all excited because I go there :D ) Need I continue?

2. Favorite authors?

Tony Diterlizzi, J. K. Rowling, T. A. Barron, Catherynne M. Valente, John Green, Rick Riordan, Michael Scott...

3. What are your talents?

Well, I'm writing a book currently over 50,000 words and I run Cross Country, fastest in my grade. And I play the flute and got an Outstanding for my NYSSMA solo. (I make myself sound great, I mean, I am coolio, but I'm not perfect).

4. What is the color of your room?

Two walls blue, two walls white. *coughcoveredwithfandomposterscough*

5. When you grow up, what do you want to be?

I want to be an author :)

6. If you had a code name, what would it be?

Haha, my code name on here, Moss.

7. Do you like chickens?

Um, sure. But those roosters are a pain. They don't just cocka-doodle-doo in the morning.

8. Book you would not recommend to others?

Hm, tough decision. I've never really given a book under 3 stars of out 5... I guess That Was Then, This Is Now by S.E. Hinton although I loved The Outsiders.

9. Favorite holiday?

Summer!! I mean, no school for about three months!!

10. Are you learning another language? If so, what?

I am learning Spanish currently. ¡Revista Cricket es impresionante! Translation: Cricket magazine is awesome!

Sorry Moss!!

I should have introduced myself here, since I am obviously new here.

About the books, it was a hard question for me, too. I just have to ask what everybody around here likes! (You know. Kind of an icebreaker sort of thing for me.)

Thank you for answering! (I believe I spelled answering correctly. It is one of those words that is hard for me to spell..)

It's fine xD And I think that's mostly the same about the book question for nearly everybody on the CB haha.

Hi Moss,

What is the 2nd book in the Wondla Series? I read the 1st book and LOVED it!!!!!!!! I tried to read The Girl Who Circumnavagated Fairyland, but couldn't get interested. Maybe I'll try it again. Have you read The Adventures of Nanny Piggins? So funny.

Thanks,

Olivia

1.) Oh, I have no idea what my favorite book is! I love Anne of Green Gables, but I also like Little Women. Then there is The Candymakers, Ella Enchanted and My Antonia. That's just a start!

2.) This question isn't much easier! Let's see, I like Gail Carson Levine, Louisa May Alcott, L.M. Montgomery, Charles Dickens, Wendy Mass, Rick Riordan...

3.) My talents? Others have said that I'm a talented dancer, writer, reader, photographer, cook and artist.

4.) It's sunflower yellow.

5.) When I grow up I'd really like to be an English or math teacher.

6.) Uh, dancingshoes.

7.) Do I like chickens? Uh, yes, I'd say so.

8.) Moby Dick; I find it a little dry.

9.) This is a tough one...I'll go with Christmas.

10.) Si, espanol.

@ Magic Dragon: I love the Peter and the Starcatchers series! Peter and the Shadow Thieves was one of my favorites, along with Sword of Mercy.

1. What is your favorite book?

Anne of Green Gables

Little Women

What Katy Did series (all books tie)

Keeper of the Lost Cities series (again, all the books tie)

2. Favorite author(s)

Lucy Maud Montgomery

Louisa May Alcott

Francis Hodgson Burnett

Shannon Messenger

3. What are your talents?

Umm, does being weird and annoying count? (I'm not especially talented.)

4. What is the color of your room?

Yellow. I rather like it.

5. When you grow up, what do you want to do? (job)

Be an author! And a historian.

6. If you had a code name, what would it be?

Depends on who gave me it. If I had my say, it would Blonde Heroines Rule, though if it were anybody else, they'd probably try to call me blondie, and I would be forced to slap them.

7. Do you like chickens?

Yes, very much. Especially painted ones on mugs and such.

8. Book you would not recommend to others?

I'm going to get hate for this, but The Fault In Our Stars. (So no commenting.)

9. Favorite holiday? (birthdays do not count)

Halloween!

10. Are you learning another language? If so, what?

Yes, French, and it is very hard.

You can probably figure out what kind of person I am for that, but anyways.

Cappie says itbe. It be what?

Oh, come on, Blonde Heroines Rule!

You have talent! Let me give you examples.

1. You are learning French.

2. You have the ability to go against the mainstream. And voice your opinions without fear! (I have never read The Fault in out Stars, but many people rave.)

3. You think history is interesting!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! (History and art are my two favorite subjects in school.)

4. Being weird has many perks. (If you have not figured that out yet, trust me, you will. Weird people are awesome. (To those who think they are normal, you guys are awesome too.))

5. I do not know you personally, so I cannot say more.

I thought Anne of Green Gables was hard to get into. But besides that, it was pretty good. Have you read the whole series? I found it quite hard. (No, I have not accomplished it. I got to about book 4 before the plot got too old. Since then, I have been skipping around. I have book 7, but have never read it.)

@ Magic Dragon: Aw, thank you!

Ha, I'm glad people don't mind my opinionatedness! I can be far too opinionated at times, getting me into hot water (more than once).

Yes, more history lovers! *happy dance*

Haha! I have discovered some of the perks of being weird, and they are rather pleasurable, though not many people agree with your opinion of weird people.

Everything mentioned above pretty much sums me up, along with my hobby of decapitating Barbie dolls.

Yes, I've read the whole Anne series (several times actually). I understand what you mean about it being hard to get into. I recommend reading books 5-8. From there it goes on to Anne's life with Gilbert, and then starting with Rainbow Valley, it's about her children. The flavor of the books is different, I admit, but the flavor already changes starting with Anne of the Island. Rilla of Ingleside is the final book. *warning* It's sad, I'll give you. I cried. But it's also really interesting! You might enjoy it.

What is the color of your room?

All four walls are a rather ugly pastel yellow. The floor is a light grey carpet. (Gray or grey?)

When you grow up, what do you want to do?

I want to be a baker on a cooking show (like Barefoot Contessa or somebody) or a zoologist. Probably the second one a little more because I wuv animals.

If you had a code name, what would it be?

Spyro

Do you like chickens?

YEAH! Unless they're teenage mutant ninja chickens... *shudders*

Book you would NOT recommend to others?

*uncontrollably excited*

I forgot Chris D'Lacy! And Gadzooks! (Goodness, you are in character) Have you read How to Train Your Dragon? The books are soooo much different than the movie. They almost ruined the story!!

Have you read the Secret series? (No dragons...)

Oh look, 16 days later I decided to reply :P

Uh... yes, I loved HTTYD and HTTYD2, although I haven't read the books yet.

I started the Secret series (you mean the one by Pseudonymous Bosch, right?), but haven't finished it. I just finished the second one.

So we're both dragons, yaaaaaaaay...

The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman; The Emily Trilogy by L.M. Montgomery; The Hero and the Crown by Robin McKinley; The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

2. Favorite authors:

J.R.R. Tolkien, Kate DiCamillo, L.M. Montgomery, Robin McKinley and Brian Jacques.

3. My Talents:

Writing, reading, typing (I could be a secretary), describing things.

4. The colors in my room are grey, white and a splash of maple wood.

5. When I grow up I am totally going to be a novelist.

6. Code Name: Everinne.

7. I have no opinion of chickens.

8. I would so not recommend The Star Shard. So far, that is my least favorite book I can remember. I will probably remember more later.

1. Too hard! I like too many books. Anything well-written with a good plot interests me. I like fantasy and mystery genres, but just about anything can make me happy as long as the author knows what they're doing.

2. Warning: Long List Approaching. Neil Gaiman, Diana Wynne Jones, J.R.R. Tolkein, Katherine Appelt, Stephen King, etc., etc. I could think of more, but I don't have a lot of time. What's next?

3. I don't really have any talents.

4. Do you mean the walls? The walls are white. Most everything else is red.

5. I'm fond of teaching, but I don't know what area I would like to teach in. For stupid teenage dreams, translation sounds fun, but I doubt I'll go into that.

6. I have a million code names. You want me to pick just one? Oh, I'll give you the codename from the Genderbent Highschool Fanfic Conversation (don't ask. Red and Sakura were bored and hilarity ensued.): Neurry-chan. Don't ask what that stands for.

7. Yes, I do.

8. *screams internally at you not liking The Westing Game, one of my favorites* Um... I read a lot of bad literature. Divergent, I guess? I thought it was completely idiotic.

9. I like Christmas. I'm an atheist, but I like having a tree in the house, so there's that. Also, the cats go nuts that time of year and provide bushels of entertainment.

10. はい、僕は日本語を覚えます。だけど、まだちょっと日本語を分かります。

Yes, I am learning Japanese. However, I still understand only a little of it.

1. Can I just say all the Percy Jackson books?

2. Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling coming in as a second. But there are a lot of other good ones. I only listed two.

3. Um... According to me, none. According to my family, I make people feel good. Is that a talent?

4. Green and blue, with animals painted on the walls.

5. I want to be the next J.K. Rowling. Or just a NY Times bestseller.

6. I dunno... I'm no good at making up code names.

7. Kind of. I have freinds who own chickens. And guinea fowl. Are guinea fowl chickens?

8. I have had the good fortune to read a lot of good books, but one... How about Trouble? I've read some of this aouthors other books and they were amazing, but this one was just depressing.

9. Christmas.

10. I have an app for learning Greek...  and one for Spanish. I'm not officially learning them, though.
