Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Dystopian/Utopian books
I don't know...

I don't know if I'm just weird, or if other people like this genre also. For whatever reason, I LOVE books about dystopian and utopian societies. (I'm just going to assume you know what those words means if you're reading this.)

I guess I love reading about what people think the world might look like in however-many years.

Some of my favorite dystopian books are:

-The Maze Runner by James Dashner (This is going to be a movie in September!!!!)

-The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (of course)

-DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth

I also like The Giver a lot. The movie comes out this August!!!!!!

What dystopian/utopian books do you recommend?

I love The Giver and can't wait to see the movie! But don't you think it would have been better if it was in black and white, with the things flashing in red when Jonas realizes what color is? I keep thinking it would have put across the point a lot better. But that's just me.

That makes so much more sense to me, too. The trailer really surprised me; it looks a lot more modern than I had imagined it. I'm not sure how I feel about that...

The Giver , Divergent , and Ender's Game ( I'm not sure if that even qualifies as dystopian though )
