Fangirl
Have any of...

Have any of you read Fangirl? I'm reading it now, and it is AMAZING! It was so well written that I thought it was in 1st person, and when I realized it was in 3rd person I had to flip back to make sure I wasn't going mad. I find my self rushing through the boyfriend/girlfriend stuff to get to the fanfiction stuff. GREAT BOOK!

What's your opinion on the mom? I think she's a brat.

I have up and down feelings about it. I liked it when there wasn't romance, but when there was I didn't know what to do, but I had to get through that to see if she would finish CARRY ON, and then.... and then....

It made me take shipping between fictional characters more seriously. I guess it's really important for some people. It seemed silly to me before, but I understand, because there are some fiction characters close to my heart as Simon and Baz were to Cath's.

For a second I thought there would be a love triangle between Levi and Nick, but there wasn't and I was glad. But I guess after Nick went around stealing her story and that jazz...

I've never read them, but they sound good! Does anybody know where I can get them?

I read this book a while ago (like, in mid-February) so I don't remember much of it, but from what I remember:

Cath is amazingly relatable (for me, anyway).

Wren is also very relateable for me.

Levi is very cool.

Nick is a lot like Hans of the Southern Isles.

The family dynamic reminds me of my own family.

The fanfiction was cool.

You could do what I did, which was steal from a friend, then promptly lose the book, and now I going to end up paying for it.

I finished rereading this yesterday, and I am still in love with it.  Also, the mom kind of reminds me of my dad...

Cover art was done.... by.... NOELLE STEVENSON! THE CREATOR OF "NAMONA!" I just figured that out yesterday, but it makes me so happy. I don't know why. She's just the perfect illustrator for that and it's so perfect. The cover is perfect. PERFECTION.
