Chatterbox: Blab About Books

I decided to start a book group instead of a new book club, since I felt that the book clubs, poetry clubs, etc. have been excluding others from being able to join. This book group is open for anyone who would like to join! 

The book that we will be reading is The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It is a very good book that I have read twice, and I am sure others have read it, too. If you haven't, I strongly recommend this book! When Mary Lennox loses her parents and caretakers in India, she is sent to live with her uncle in his manor in the Yorkshire Moors. While playing outdoors and exploring the gardens, she finds the key to a hidden garden that was locked up for ten years. When she finds the door hidden between a curtain of ivy, Mary turns the key and opens up a new world that she would never have imagined! This book is a very good classic.

We will begin reading next Friday, April 11 and continue until the book is finished.
