I have lots of good books that I would love to recommend! Here are the books I would like to recommend: Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery, A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, What Katy Did by Susan Coolidge, The Princess and the Goblin by George Macdonald, Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan, Bloomability by Sharon Creech, School of Fear by Gitty Daneshvari, and The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart.
Hope that helps! Happy reading! :)

Well, I don't know how old you are, but Nina's suggestions are all really good.
Also, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan are quite entertaining.

The Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage is really good, as well as the Stravaganza trilogy, which is by Mary Hoffman. I would also recommend When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead.

Wendy Mass is an awesome author. If you're like 12ish or older, I would suggest John Green, but I wouldn't read his books if you're younger because they're really meant for older readers. I hate when people say stuff like that to me, but it's sadly true.

I second the motion with Wendy Mass. Particularly Pi in the Sky.

I love all the Wendy Mass books except for one- Heaven Looks a Lot Like a Shopping Mall.
