Hello everybody!  I wanted to start an extended chat about the HOH that comes out in October. Anyone can post any updates about it or rumors they heard.  Or stuff from Rick himself.  Well, here's what I think:

What if (an oath to keep with final breath) is referring to Frank and Hazel?  Frank gave Hazel his firewood to safeguard it.  That's basically an oath to protect it, right? And Iris, the rainbow godess, told him he would die watching the stick burn.  His final breath?  Honestly, I sure hope not.

Also, I was thinking back to the PJO series. In the Titan's Curse, five people went on the quest and only three came back.  That's because quests are made for three people: the leader and two other.  Does that apply to the 7?  Will 4 of them die?

If anyone has any suspicions or wants to talk about other PJO or HOO stuff just postit here, too.

Okay, both of those ideas sound seriously...bad news. I hope four of them don't die! Maybe Frank will, but only one death is enough for me. I liked Titan's Curse, though, because someone did die...I don't know, I've got a morbid streak.

I can't wait for HOH to come out! I love RR's books!

I will be so sad if Frank dies.  He's like a big panda bear.  I'm sure I'm subconciously stealing that last sentence from somewhere, but it's true.  I just want to give that kid a big hug.

I'm fine. It just irritates me a bit. I mean, seriously, why isn't HoH on Oct 10? That'd be better! 

 

I am excited for the book though. I will read it.

Of the seven, only one of them is going to die. Camp Jupiter has a three person rule, and so does Camp Halfblood. So one person is going to die. I think it will be Frank' because he's got the stick and everything.

I seriously doubt that four half-bloods will die. Frank might die, but if he does, I have a feeling it will be in that didn't-really-die-but-everybody-thought-I-did kind of way.

Prophecies are confusing. You can't really rely on what they say literally, it usually happens in a roundabout way . . . at least in my reading experience.

The "oath to keep with a final breath" part could be refering to Nico too. If you'll remember at the end of TMoA, he made a promise to Percy. So Nico could be the one to die. He could be the one to close the doors of death from the inside, which, would kinda make sense. Which would also be really sad. 

Also, I have read the first chapter of the book! I found it to download online!

Btw, did anyone notice that the first word in The Lightning Theif is Look and the last word of The Last Olympian is Back? Look Back. And Percy is looking back in the HoH cover. They're probably not connected, but I found it interesting.

I liked the Titan's Curse too. I found Zoe Nightshade's death really sad, but, it was really well written.
