There is a rumor I heard from one of my best friends today that TFioS could be required reading over the summer! She apparently borrowed the book from one of my other best friends (interesting because I didn't know they were friends) to get a start on her summer reading. Do you know how excited I am. TFioS! Required reading! Excuse me while I hyperventilate.

John and Hank Green are perfect in every single way and John's children are so cute it's not fair.
I was waiting for TFioS to arrive the library (I was #146 on the waitlist) and Looking for Alaska just so happened to be in my school library so I read it. My friend said it wasn't very good compared to TFioS but... I like Looking for Alaska better. Am I the only who feels this way? None of my friends agree and the friend I mentioned before freaked out. Augustus just didn't feel that real to me- he reminded me too much of the Perfect Male Object of Affection from fanfiction whereas Alaska, Pudge, the Colonel, Takumi, and everyone else were flawed and reckless but I love them anyway.
Did I mention I cut out and taped the words, "I go to seek the Great Perhaps" on my bedroom wall?
re:Looking for Alaska innapropriateness: From an outsider's point of view, I would agree and say that the book shouldn't be in a middle school library because there are many interesting scenes and the language is very colourful. But compared to how most people at my old school talk (even the sixth graders) Looking for Alaska is pretty tame.
