So, I have
Chatterbox: Blab About Books
So, I have recently finished reading The Giver. It's a pretty good book, with a very... hard to put into words. It's a very interesting book. I skipped Gathering Blue and I'm, like 10 pages into Messenger.
Who else has read The Giver and it's follow-ups? And did anyone hear about the film adaptation? It was considered in the early '90, soon after the book was released, and was finally greenlighted in December 2012, with Jeff Bridges playing the Giver. I've no clue who'll be playing Jonas or anyone else, last I read, Jonas was not yet cast. I think it will be hard to adapt.
Givers of the Chatterbox, please put your hands on me to transmit the memories of what you think of The Giver, its sequels, and the promise of a film coming. Sorry, that's sort of cheesy.
Rodney says gnro. Giver not ready on? Maybe Rodney is suggesting that perhaps this is not the right time for a film adaptation of The Giver. Rodney could be correct.

I've read The Giver and I thought it was a fantastic book! JDD, I think you should read Gathering Blue, because it was a great book, although The Giver was better.
I did not know that they were planning to make a movie.

I have not read The Giver, although I have chanced upon it on many occasions and have been wanting to begin it. I heard that it is a fantastic book, and am looking forward to starting it.

We had to read The Giver for lit class. It wasn't too bad.

I enjoyed the Giver, even though none of my classmates did. That was probably because our teachers refused to let us take the books outside of the classroom to read, and everybody read together. I was fortunate enough to avoid that experience. I've also read Gathering Blue and the Messenger, both of which I liked very much. I've seen Son in the library, but I have yet to read it.

I read The Giver when I was about seven and I remember not really liking it because of some scene where he breaks his leg, which I thought was really disgusting. I've decided to give it another try, though...
