I just finished The Thief Lord, and I was a bit disappointed by Scipio's choice, but other than that it was great! And....I, uh, don't seem to have any books on the go right now. Quick, library mission!

I have been reading Lord Of the Rings by JRR Tolkien for the fifth time, the best trilogy EVER! Its about a hobbit named Frodo going on a journey to destroy a powerful ring that if returned to its master it could destroy Middle-Earth (where the book takes place). On his way he meets elves, men, and someone called Gollum (Smeagol)

Ialso just finished First lLght by Rebecca Stead, it's about a boy who vacations in Greenland and finds a hidden world under the ice called Grachope and meets a girl ther named Thea. Together they go on a journey to free her people from under the ice with the help of some faithful dogs

I also just finished an ongoing series called Amulet by Kazo Kabuishi, about a girl who finds a magical amulet and goes on journey to save her mother and the world from a great evil. On the way she meets elves, other amulet bearers, and the occasional slug! These are graphic novels.

If you have read any of these you will know that I LOVE sci- fi! :)

How's TFiOS?

I heard it was really good, and I saw it at our local library, but I'm not sure what age group it's recommended for. . . .

TFiOS is recommended for ages 12 and up.

And as far as the book itself, it's absolutely fantastic (if you don't mind romantic books).

Oh, I'm under twelve. Maybe I'll wait for a while.

Plus I don't know if my parents would approve of me getting a book about cancer :P

I'm big on not defining books by age but I would warn it's not the cancer really that's of concern... The relationship could be defined as an 'adult' one.
