I just finished The School For the Insanely Gifted, and The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.
I am in the middle of Le Mis, Stepping Heavenward, Magyk, The Name of This Book is Secret, and A Mango-shaped Space.
On my waiting list are Flyte (after I finish Magyk), Rilla of Inngleside, Mistress of the Storm, Blue Like Friday, and The Blue Roan Child.

Taking a break from Anastasia's Secret to read Insurgent by Veronica Roth. I got it at a small bookstore at JFK Airport because I can't pass a bookstore without buying a book. It's a problem. I also started A Study in Scarlet by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for my book club, but I finished that one. It was good. Sherlock Holmes is really cool.:)

Currently Reading: The Tragedy Paper by Elizabeth Laban
Just Finished: Champion by Marie Lu. The end was very sad.
(November 28, 2013 - 9:24 pm)
I need to read The Tragedy Paper.

Just finished To Kill a Mockingbird (good book, btw), reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and re reading Game of Thrones (again), considering giving away my copies of Divergent and Insurgent.
(November 29, 2013 - 10:51 am)
Since the last time I posted on this thread I've read:
Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier
Divergent by Veronica Roth
The Selection by Kiera Cass
The Elite by Kiera Cass
Dragonswood by Janet Lee Carey (five stars)
And I'm currently reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu, and A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
(November 29, 2013 - 6:30 pm)
@ Ivy, I loved Breadcrumbs! I hope you like it!
Also, I haven't read anything in the last month. *gasp* I've just spent it writing. But now that I have written my 50,000 words and I have free time again, I'm reading ArchEnemy (which I FINALLY got from the library)
(December 1, 2013 - 7:03 pm)
I finished Uglies yesterday and this morning started Land Under England by... I forgot. Contemplating giving up on Scorpio Races and Code Name Verity.

I'm currently pushing my way through Twilight, which is probably the worst book I've ever read. The first few chapters: Well, not very good, but not as bad as I had heard. Later: Definitely as bad as people said. Now: WORSE than people said. I mean, if you like books with horrible, boring plots, terrible dialogue, weird, creepy vampire dudes who sparkle, and one dimensional heroines who remind me of a hyper 5 year old, than this book is for you. I really don't understand why these books got so popular. Quick run through of what I've read so far:
Edward: *glares*
Bella: He hates me!
Edward: I like you.
Bella: I like you too.
Edward: Don't! I'm dangerous.
Bella: I don't think you're human. I think you're a vampire.
Edward: Yep.
Bella: Ok. I love you.
Edward: You shouldn't. I'm dangerous. But I love you too.
Bella: Yay! I don't care that you're dangerous!
Edward: You smell good.
Bella: Yay! I don't care if you think I smell appetizing! I love you! Never leave!
Edward: You should be scared of me. But I would never hurt you. You smell good!
Etc. Etc. Etc.

@Ivy- That Edward/Bella dialogue was hilarious. :D
So I haven't been reading much since I'm really busy with school so I'm still reading Pretties. This may sound weird but I like and dislike Scott Westerfeld's books. I want to keep reading but at the same time I don't really like them...

Did you read Leviathan, or just the Uglies series? Leviathan is totally different, and I liked it a lot better.
Finished The Scorpio Races:
I had to read this for a bookclub, otherwise I probably would have stopped, but the last hundred pages were AMAZING. I liked how the author didn't just make the book entirely about the races, and it was more of the building up and the stress and ceremonies and whatnot. Although, it wouldn't have worked the way that I imagined because the race was only five minutes, I was thinking a couple day long thing across the entire island.
Finished Code Name Verity:
I need to read this again... it had the unfortunate situation of me happening to be in the middle when NaNoWriMo started, so that happened. I wasn't entirely sure who everyone was in the end and I definitely would want to understand it better in the future.
Read all of Under The Jolly Roger:
Mary Faber is my FAVOURITE heroine ever. She's just so... everything is amazing. And, James Emerson Fletcher is my book crush, close second to Augustus Waters. I get so emotional about these books sometimes, I will practically be talking to it. The copy I got from the library of the first book in this series smelled really good... Although there are apparently two major cover editions, one that is beautiful drawings that are amazing and another that are modern looking photographs. It is needless to say which I like better.
Started In the Belly of the Bloodhound:
See Bloody Jack obsession.

Finished all books mentioned last time, then read Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin, which I would soooo recommend. Now, I'm going to start to read Let it Snow by Maureen Johnson, John Green, and Lauren Myracle for the school book club but I can only read the first two stories before the meeting on the 18th.
