Yes! You got it! It is Gentle's Holler! I own and LOVE that book! I pretty much LIVED in Maggie Valley! It's SO beautiful, especially in the fall! I decided it would be fun to put the name of the book in the quote!

This might be rather obvious.

"'What on earth did I ask him to tea for?' he said to himself, as he want to the pantry."

This actually happens to be a pivotal scene in the book.
