Chatterbox: Blab About Books

fantasy
I think that...

I think that you should read the Narnia series. It's about a mystical land called Narnia. I'm on the 3rd book right now. So far, though, my absolute favorite is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It's super fun! But (of course) I should not tell you what happens in the end.Sealed

I'm so glad you started this thread! I love fantasy! Though, I haven't read the Narnia series. But I have seen the movies (though I know from experience that movies often don't come near as great as the books.) I have been wanting too, and I also want to read Lord of the Rings! Has anyone else read the Peter & the Starcatchers series by Dave Barry & Riddley Pearson? Or Peter Pan in Scarlet (though that one is rather weird). I recommend if you love adventure and comedy The School for the Insanely Gifted!

BTW Excuse my spelling if its wrong, high school does that to you.

I love Peter and the Starcatchers!  They said it was going to be a trilogy, and then they wrote a fourth book and iwasalllikeyaybuttheyliedtous!  I haven't read the fourth book yet, though.

I read the first two and then lost interest. But the first one was really good! (and now there's a play-with-music and Christian Borle and stuff. Yay!)

Since I live in the state of New York, (which is kind of obvious) whenever I see a play that is of a really good book, I start kind of mentally think "FRENCH THE LLAMA THAT SOUNDS AWESOME." But I don't go the NYC that often, so yeah.  And my mom's not exactlly all friendly about modern sequels/prequels/fanfiction/spinoffs of classics.

I love that series!  I've only read the first one but I'm trying to read more.  Ridley Pearson actually writes my favorite series, Kingdom Keepers, and I love Peter Pan, so of course I had to read it.

Speaking of fantasy, I also love Gail Carson Levine's books.

Fantasy's awesome, although I've gotten more interested in other book genres lately... I read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was in third grade. I don't remember really liking them too much...

I wouldn't really recommend the last one, Bridge to Never Land. It really wasn't that good. I've read them all, and my personal favorite was Peter and the Sword of Mercy! Wendy was in that one!
