Some books can...
Some books can be incredibly annoying, while others can be tummdiddly-astic.This is the least-favorite book thread. I have to say one of my least-favorites is Missouri Homestead, byT. L. Tedrow, the first book in the series The Days of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The series is basically the author's idea of what happend after Manly and Laura had Rose. The reason I checked this out from the library, is because I had often wondered, what did happen after Laura and Manly had Rose, and before Rose was like 9? Well that book was awful. I disliked it because Laura and Manly talked really wrongly, and made all these rude comments about rich people. It was so not the Laura Ingalls I knew.

:O Hey, I liked that book! (I guess this is a thread for hating on things, though, so whatever.)

I can see why some people would hate the Missourie Homestead, but I think it interesting. It shows many common insidents of the late1800'sand of the early1900's through the eyes of one of America's best writers(That last part is espetily my opinion).
@Clair H. if you want a more accurate story of the Wilder's life, you can check the Rose years, espetially Little House on the Rocky Ridge.

I don't really like The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. It was way too weird. And I'd have to say I don't like Tom Sawyer or any Nancy Drew books.
@Macon W. and Coral: OMG!! I am a homeschooler and am reading Around the World in 80 Days too! It's not for schoolwork specifically, but we got it from the thrift shop and I decided it looked good so I claimed reading it first. I'm not that far in it, because I'm reading Mockingjay too but already I LOVE IT!!!!!! Nice to meet some other homeschoolers reading it!

I...Hate...THEMOSTLYTRUEADVENTURESOFHOMERPFIGG! We had to read it for school, and every day I would say, "Ve do not like ze Homer" "It rots our brains, ze Homer does" So pretty much everyone has agreed that almost all the books we have to read for school are awful.

I don't really hate hate any books, except Twilight, which is a definite, and Mockingjay, which is a maybe.
I agree with whoever talked about Eldest... I read 5 chapters and went to find a new book.
Some books are just really really boring. Some books need to be burned in dragonfire. Some books. People say they're "the Canon! Ooooh!" or "a classic! Oooooooooooooooh!" but some books just are like a history class in June. Hot, awkward, and really, really boring.

One book I don't like, at all, is The BFG by Rolad Dahl. Last year my teacher was gone for a while and our sub read us that. It bored me to death. Luckily for me, my real teacher came back so she didn't finish it. I don't think many people in that class liked it. No offince if anyone likes that book. I like the writer, but that book was just boring.

Never read anything by Lois Lenski. She is horrible.

@Emily L. and Olive, I really liked Elijah of Buxton and By the Great Horned Spoon, but, it's true, if you read a book too often, it gets pretty boring...
The Great and Terrible Quest. Ugh. And also, The Children of Green Knowe. The latter should probably go first, though.
