Chatterbox: Blab About Books

Сho Chang
Grrrrr!!!  ...

Grrrrr!!! Yell

I just finished the Harry Potter books and I really hated the end. WHY? SPOILER ALERT. It's so weird that everyone's related at the end and how Harry marries Ginny. She's a year younger than him! Cho was much better looking and much less perfect. Ginny's a mary sue.

...Why is Harry being a year older than Ginny a problem? My dad's nineteen years older than my mother, and they turned out fine.

Yeah, and Cho's one year older. None of it matters.

Accually, Cho is a year older than Harry. And I like Ginny better than Cho.

My mom's older than my dad.

Ginny was better for him anyway. Cho was always crying. I think I liked Ginny's personality better too.

My parents are seven years apart; I don't really see how it's an issue. There are age differences that squick me out pretty badly, but it takes a lot more than a year to do it. (And Cho is a year older than Harry.)

I really don't think Cho had anywhere near the emotional stability to stay with Harry. Ced had already died; I'm not sure she could handle worrying about Harry. Breaking up was probably in both of their best interests.

I liked Ginny much more than Cho. Besides Cho betrays Harry to Umbridge in the fifth book. Age doesn't matter. Cho was older than Harry. And my dad's two years older than my mom, so?

*No, she doesn't. That was her friend Marrietta.

Okay, here is a more detailed description.

I'm not even going to mention that Cho cries too much. I mean, her boyfriend died last year. I don't blame her for crying, but Ginny is a way better match for Harry.

For one thing, why is it so weird? On the other hand, Ginny had known Harry better for way longer. They lived together during the summer holidays. They went through a lot. Cho and Harry, on the other hand, only had about one date.

Wait, Cho's better looking? I never thought of it that way, and I honestly don't think she is, but that's your opinion. Still, it doesn't matter what she looks like. And Ginny's pretty.

A year younger than him... why does that matter, exactly? And, besides, Cho is one year older, which isn't very weird either, but weirder that Ginny being a year younger.

Finally, Cho was Harry's first crush. You hardly ever marry your first crush.

I did find it rather odd how everyone's related to the end, but does that matter?

Why is Ginny a Mary Sue?

In fact, Ginny's supposed to be really pretty. In book six it says "Even you think she's good looking, don't you, Blaise, and we all know how hard you are to please!"

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Harry was Ginny's first crush.

Totally off topic, but hey!  I'm from around Boston, too.  *high five*

@ Sam

Actually, in the book it was Cho's friend Marietta. They made it Cho in the movie.

I cannot stand Cho Chang. I totally hated how Harry was so all over her. I actually like Ginny very much.

And yes, those who love to skip to the last page of the last book, I am guilty. :)

I agree with everybody else that age doesn't matter.Wink

The story would be kind of boring if Harry married Cho because she was his first crush so there wouldn't be that much romance. I mean, it's kinda interesting seeing Harry break up with her and adds some more flair to the story.

Also, Ginny's so not a "Mary Sue"  as you put it. In fact, I would say Cho is. Ginny has her faults like everyone else and is a lot tougher than Cho.
