Cricket Readers Recommend

This book is awesome!  It's really good because an apprentice bard named Svarnil tries to fight the mysterious evil warrior who tries to take over the Deerfolk.  Even though Svarnil can't fight with a sword or use magic, she still finds a way to defeat the evil.  Svarnil is a really nice character.  This is the first book in a series of six that get better and better.  For example, the second book (Sleeping Legends Lie) starts about someone different, but later she and Svarnil meet up and become friends.  It's a really cool fantasy world.  (These books are probably best for at least fifth graders unless you're a really good reader.)
