Luke is the third child in his family which, where he lives, is forbidden. He doesn't know anybody except his two brothers, mother and father. Until one day he sees a girl face in a house where he knows that two boys already live.

This book is mysterious and interesting and you never know what Luke will do just to get out of the attic and outside.

This book is pretty good but I think that Haddix could have written it a little better.
