The Giver
by Lois LoweryImagine a world without color, where you didnt pick what your job was, where you were almost EXACTLY the same as everyone else... That is how Jonas lives.
Jonas lives in the future, all families are the same... 2 kids, 2 kids ONLY, one girl and one boy.
When the Twelves (age group) recieve their jobs, Jonas is assigned the most important job of all , the Receiver. His trainer is the Giver.
This book is a great book, but in some ways eerie because some people want us all to be exactly the same and this book shows what it would REALLY be like.
What happens with Jonas and the Giver?
Does anything strange happen (yes) but what?!?!?!?!?!
PLEASE READ THIS AMAZING BOOK TO FIND OUT!!

The book after The Giver, Gathering Blue, could probably stand alone without The Giver. But if you read it first, you would never get the frustrating comment at the end of the book. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ MESSENGER!

Did I like it? Non. I hated the 'utopia' and the book was a bit depressing and the slightest bit...not exciting.

Oh my my my my my!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! I read it in about two days. A. M. A. Z. I. N. G.
I thought it was going to be really boring, but I was so wrong. So wrong, indeed. It's one of those kinds of books that make you think about things in a different way. Parts of it were kind of depressing, but it all turned out nicely in the end. But it was awesome, and you should READ IT!
Peaceing out for now,
