The Fire Within
by Chris D'LaceyIn this story, people find powers, and dragons come alive. David is a tennant in the house of Liz and Lucy. He starts getting suspicious when dragons go from one place of the house to another. Simple enough, until Lucy's "aunt" comes to call. She gives him the sight to "simplify things," but instead David just noses his way farther into a secret that has existed since the beginning of human life. Be sure to read the second, third, and fourth books in the series: Ice Fire, Fire Star, and The Fire Eternal.

I really liked this book. I have to say that the next two, Icefire and Firestar are a little confusing, but the Fire Within isn't too bad. Has anyone read the last one? My mind is spacing and I don't remember what it's called, but it's supposed to be really good!

Oh, that's right! The Fire Eternal!

Yes, Kipin's read The Fire Eternal. There's this really awesome guy named Tam Farrel, and he has a SCOTTISH ACCENT! Kipin LOVES Scottish accents! It's so much fun to read aloud. I read most of The Fire Eternal aloud to my mom, using different voices for each character. Tam's accent was fun, and the polar bears (I gave them really deeeeeep voices) and Gwilanna the raven's squawking was fun too. Made my throat tired though...
Gaah, I love this series! Dragons, yay! Reading The Fire Within inspired me to try making little clay dragons of my own, and now our house is full of them! I don't really try too hard to follow the naming rules, though... only a few of mine have names that start with G, like G'ranna, Guppy, Ghastly, Gaia... I thinks that's it. Out of like, twenty dragons, only four of their names start with G. Oops. Ah well.

This series rocks. Dragons Rule! Thus my name. The Fire Eternal gets a little weird though... still good!

I read this almost three years ago and can't remember much of what happened, although I still thought that it was an interesting read.
