Ender's Game
by Orson Scott CardIn this novel in a great science-fiction series, there is much fear of a major war coming among the Buggers (aliens, or Formics) and humans. Kids are recruited in Battle School where they learn tactics and combat in space, trained to be battlefield commanders. Among these kid soldiers is a young boy-genius. His name is Andrew "Ender" Wiggin. Soon, Ender rises above his peers and gathers the admiration of many children in Battle School, most of them above his age. Immense pressure is burdened upon his back to save the human race from destruction. The intense stress of defeating the alien Buggers just might destroy him.
