The Thief Knot

Marzana is bored.
In her part of Nagspeake, few things ever happen, and she's not exactly pleased with all the calm and tranquility. Then suddenly an acquaintance comes calling to report a kidnapping that happened recently, and Marzana and her friend Nialla are trying to figure out why it happened. They meet other kids and form an amateur detectives' ring called the Thief Knot. However, the leads they follow are returning to the smugglers and spies of Nagspeake, including Marzana's own mother, who used to be a smuggler, and it is becoming clear that nothing is what it seems to be.

And I will say I did not try to put a formatting mess there. Please ignore that. Admins, could you please try to fix it, assuming you didn't already?
I'm sorry to say that I tried my usual method twice, but it didn't work. I think the formatting is caused by cutting and pasting from some incompatible program. You might try typing the desired text into the text window of a Chatterbox comment and submitting it that way.
