Gregor the Overlander

In this first book of the Underland Chronicles, 11-year-old Gregor and his baby sister "Boots" (Margaret, actually) are swept down a chute in their laundry room to an underground world, where humans and large sewer creatures (such as rats and cockroaches) live uneasily with each other. He discovers that he is a long-awaited Warrior that must stop a war between the rats and humans. I really enjoyed this story, and it takes an exciting twist at the end.

I SOOOOOOOOOOOO AGREE! I HATE COCKROACHES AND RATS! BUT I WILL TAKE your word and MAYBE read the book!

Cock ROACHES Aae so....... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! So are rats, but they are not as BUGGY! Even though rats are GERM INFESTED LIKE CRAZY, they are kinda cute by looks!

Sometimes when I was reading I almost forgot they were giant roaches and rats. They seem so human.

Not all rats are gross! There are bats and spiders, too. And the cockroaches are really cool, even though not at first. And the bats are cool bright colors and have Greek names(?)

Hey Amy, you may hate cockroaches, but believe me, in these stories, they're the good guys. It's just the rats you have to worry about.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! It's my favorite! Even if you don't like cocroaches or rats still read it... their not gross trust me!(altho they may be in real life)

These books are great. Even though giant cockroaches sound gross, they are funny once you get their personalities. "... Smells what so good, smells what?" LOL. I really wish Suzanne Collins would write another book! The series doesn't seem ended at the end of Gregor and the Code of Claw.

This sounds like an interesting book.I am going to add it to my (already very long) book list on the computer.....................................

Okay, done. I just counted the books, and I have 83 now counting this one. Most are from Cricket Readers Recomended and places like that... well, I am off to read those books, now....Undecided 

 

 

(it's not that I don't like reading, I love reading! It's just the long list to pick from.)
