Wise Child is about a girl who lives in a Scottish village. Her mother abandoned her when she was young, and her father is away at sea. Juniper takes Wise Child in. Juniper is talked against in Church about how she is a witch. Wise Child is scared of Juniper at first, but eventually loves her. Then disaster strikes the village-an illness. People blame Juniper as the cause and she is taken to a trial. Wise Child is asked many questions about Juniper at the trial. Things do not look good for Juniper. if she is found guilty she will be sentenced to death. Read this great book to find out what happens to Wise Child and Juniper.
