Goose Girl

by Shannon Hale

LaughingThis book give a good twist on the old fairy tale "The Goose Girl." I recomend this book to all readers , but  I think girls will enjoy it more. This book is about a princess who is traveling to meet her future husband , but during the journey some odd things happen to her.

My brother had to for school. I read some, then had to stop because he needed it. I should probably finish now; it's been over a year.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, Elizabeth. I haven't been on here for a while. Busy with school, you know?

Anway, I've read all the books by Shannon Hale I could get my hands on, except for her adult books. I love Rapunzel's Revenge and Calamity Jack! They're hilarious!

Have you read them?

Oh, oops! I forgot to mention that I also had to read 2 condensed versions for school later. One for Theatre, one for English.

Sorry, to all of you, it's just like me to ask a question and forget all about you lot for about a month.

So thank you for writing, even though I did not, I probibly won't have to read Romeo &Juliet till January-ish. Next week we r starting the Odyssey :(

Emma, i have not read Rapunzel's Revenge, or Calamity Jack, but I want to, and quite frankly the only reason I haven't was because I don't have enough money to get it. (And my library dosen't have it. i could do an inter-library exchange and get it from a different library, but again that costs like $5, something I don't have :P)

So anyways thanks 4 replying, and sorry I'm such a lousy responder.

I have to read Romeo and Juliet for literature this year also, but I think not until January either and I'm too busy right now to read it ahead.

Maybe we can read it about the same time and tell what we think. :)

The Goose Girl was good, I really hated Book Of A Thousand Days, and I loved Princess Academy. I like the name Miri; it's so pretty.

Elizabeth,

We just finished Romeo and Juliet in English and started the Odyssey! Do you live in CT? I kind of like the Odyssey. And Shakespeare isn't that bad, but you have to read it several times to let it sink in.

Has anyone read Book of a Thousand Days? I really enjoyed it (also by Shannon Hale). I really like the setting. It is kinda based off Mongolia at the height of the Mongolian empire. (Several thousand years ago). I love The Goose Girl, etc. especially the way the characters interact with one another, although I didn't like Forest Born as much.

This book is brilliant!!!  I read it once, then got it on cd and listened to it every night before falling asleep.  I vowed not to listen to more than one chapter a night... I can assure you, I stayed up until at least four in the morning one night.  :)
