The book is okay, but the prequel is sooooooooo good!! Swordquest was awesome! Read it and you are taken to the past when Swordbird is born and the author of the two books are revealed, as well as Ewingerale's journey through the eyes of not only himself.

I really liked this book. believe it or not I actually kind of liked the parts where the birds fought because I thought it was kind of cool how they used swords.Undecided

This is really good. For all of you who don't know, she was only twelve when she wrote this.

Swordbird was at one point at the top of my favorite books list. It's a wonderful book I'd recommend to anyone looking for a good read.

I checked this out at the library, but I could never really get into it. Swordfighting birds? ........ But for a 12-year-old, it was great!

The author has pet birds in real life. She got the idea in a dream. Cut her some slack! She was 12!!!

(If that offends people, I apologize.)

No, no, I'm not offended. But please do understand that I'm not trying to criticize. For a 12-year-old, as I said, it was great. It just wasn't exactly the sort of thing I'd normally read.
