The Hunger Games
byThis book was outstanding- one of the best I've ever read! A creepy yet amazing view of the future, I was hooked from the first page. Katniss, the main character, has a deep, extraordinary personality, and the characters that surround her are also wonderful. The concept of the Hunger Games is a terrifying, startling, and intriguing idea- this great book is full of twists and turns, complicated characters: an adventure/romance/science-fiction, this book has it all! Definitely a 5/5 review!

I loved this book as well! I would totally reccommend it to everybuggy! I think that Madeline's review was great, but a little summary is needed. Katniss Everdeen lives in the future, where North America has been turned into Panem, a country ruled by the strict Capitol. The yearly highlight of cruel entertainment for the Capitol is the Hunger Games, a live televised reality show where 24 teens (2 from each district) are thrown into a harsh enviroment known as the arena and must fight to the death until only one is left. When Katniss's beloved younger sister is chosen for the Hunger Games at the annual reaping, Katniss willingly takes her place and is thrown into the games along with fellow tribute, Peeta. She must use everything she knows to stay alive in this harsh contest of survival.
