The Book Thief
by Markus ZusakThis book is about a girl named Leisel Meminger who is obviously The Book Thief. The story is told by Death. It takes place in Germany during WWII. Leisel is put with a foster family in a town outside Munich to keep her safe during the war. The first time Death sees Leisel is on the train ride to her new family with her mother and brother. Her brother dies while on the train and at his very burial Leisel steals her first book, The Grave Digger's Handbook. Though she cannot read, her longing to overcomes the irony of the situation. Her many trials of book thievery and life itself are outlined in this FLIPPIN AMAZING book. You have not read a dramatic and life-changing book until you have read The Book Thief. Even Twilight.

I own this book. I think it is very choppy and hard to understand for about the first quarter of the book, and then it gets a lot better. I would really recommend it!
