I haven't actually read this book yet, but I'm supposed to soon. After I read it, sometime next week, I get to go to a workshop on the book. We're going to build fires and practice survival skills. Thanks for the review. Now I actually want to read the book instead of just considering it something I have to do. Ever had that problem?:)

Brynne, that sounds like such a cool trip! I love Hatchet. It's so realistic and detailed. And it's not just about Brian trying to survive in the wild, too -- it's about him discovering more about himself and learning new things every day.

I disliked this book and all GP books.

Why do you dislike them? I don't want to insult your opinion, I'm just curious, since I personally I love his books.
