This book is amazing. It is kind of annoying that it ends in a huge cliffhanger, but overall, it's a wonderfull book. Lois Lowry is a very talented writer.

It was such a GOOD BOOK!!! I loved it SO much! Make sure you read the rest of the series too because the other books are also incredible. At first it dosn't seem like the other books have much to do with each other, but it all comes together in the end!

Don't get me wrong, I liked this book. But it was a little confusing at the end. (I read the next three books, though, and all was well.)

Nevertheless, this is the only example I know of where the movie was better than the book.

I love The Giver! So touching, loving, powerful... it's the kind of book that speaks to me. Forget Harry Potter, I'm burrowing into The Giver! 5 stars, everyone!
