Remarkable

by Lizzie K. Foley

The main character's a girl named Jane, who lives in the town of Remarkable, where everyone's remarkable- except Jane.

Jane has adventures with a very agreeable pirate captain, three
not-so-agreeable pirates, hilarious dastardly twins, and a friendly lake
monster.

I love this book so much I made a skit from it and
acted it out.  The book's 325 pages long. Don't let this stop you from
reading it.

LOTS of chirps from me.

Found this book on the "Librarians Recomend"  shelf at my library, and decided to read it. I ended up really loving it. Being a gifted kid, it's a verry relatable story, and the message at the end seems a bit like an antilesson, but trust me, it's true. I also love the fact that it makes sure to give the charecters TALENTs instead of powers, which always makes it so awkward in a MG book. Yaknow what I mean?

I hope the new Disney movie Encanto has a similar structure, baseed off of the similar premices. (yaknow, along all the AWESOME L. M. Miranda music)
I reccomend this book to anyone who dosn't feel like they're using their talents to the fullest potential.
