Cricket Readers Recommend

This is one of my favorite books of all time. 

It's summer in 1953, and Penny Falucci's life is turned upside-down. Her Uncle Dominic is living in a car. Her mother is dating the milkman (Penny's first father died). Worst of all, the two sides (Italian and American) of her family can't get along!

This is a funny, touching, and wonderful story that I would recommend to anyone, especially historical fiction and realistic fiction fanatics.
