Chasing Redbird
by Sharon CreechChasing Redbird, another wonderful creation by Sharon Creech, is about a girl named Zinnya Taylor; she finds a trail and tries to uncover the rest. It's a little mysterious, at the same time she's battling the memories of a dead family member and finds out if her Grandfather was seeing someone and at the same time gets her own sweetheart. Don't worry, this IS NOT A ROMANTIC STORY. It is very fun and at the same time touching.

Yes yes yes yes YES!
I love the spaghetti/meatball life quote, and the story just unfolds so well. It's definitely one of my favorite books (it's a long list).
And it kind of helped me because at the time I read it, I was dealing with depression. Zinny was also miserable and depressed, but found a way out of it. Of course, there's no hidden trail at the back of my house, but still.
The title is what first caught my eye at the library, because I love birds, and even though it's not really about birds, it's still a really nice title and cover.
Oh yeah, and the art on the back is just amazing. I love how they did a little tiny map of where the trail took Zinny.
I actually cried out loud at one part. I don't remember which...
But anyway, I'll stop ranting and say 5 out of 5 stars.
