The Dear America Series
by ????? a lot of people
The Dear America series is good if you like historical fiction and learning about the past. The books have an epilogue and a historical note. My favorite book is Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie: The Oregon Trail Diary of Hattie Campbell, by Kristina Gregory. It is about a girl (Hattie Campbell) who walks the Oregon trail. It is a story about going through a hard time, friendship, and achieving your goals.
Another one I like is The Winter of Red Snow: The Revolutionary War Diary of Abigail Jane Stewart. I can't remember the author. It is about a girl (Abigail Jane Stewart) who lives during the revolutionary war. It is a story about giving, helping others, friendship, and hard times. There are a LOT of these books.
Happy reading!
P.S. All the books are diaries.

When I was in second grade I was obsessed with these books. Literally, obsessed. I would check about ten of them out of the library at a time. I got over them a while ago, though. They're still all right though, if you like that sort of thing.

WHAT KIND OF THING DO YOU LIKE WHEN IT COMES TO BOOKS????????????????

Generally, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Realistic Fiction, Autobiographies, a well-written Romance every here and there, and some Magical Realism is rather nice. Nonfiction books about dinosaurs, space exploration, the periodic table, and ancient civilizations are good as well. I also read some magazines, such as National Geographic, Cricket, and Entertainment Weekly. And then there are the few webcomics I support (XKCD) but now we're off topic.
