Percy Jackson doesn't know he's a demigod--a child of both a mortal and an Olympian--until he's on his way to Camp Half-Blood and he discovers that monsters are after him, trying to kill him. This is one of my favorite series.  Does anyone think Rick Riordan messed up this series by creating Heroes of Olympus?

Yes. I was so happy to have Percy and Co. back, but when I opened up the lost hero I was thinking, "Who IS this Jason person? Where is Percy?" 

His writitng isn't quite as good in Heroes of Olympus as it was in this series. I love every page in Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

I haven't read The Heros of Olympus yet, although it seemed like an odd idea to make another series after The Last Olympian.

I thought that The Heroes of Olympus was AWESOME!  It is just as amzing as Percy Jackson series. If you like this series you may also like The Kane Chronicles, which id also by Rick Riordan!

Is, not id. I haven't read the Kane Chronicles series yet, but my mom is going to get the Red Pyramid! I really like Rick Riordan's books. I have asthma, and I never knew it was possible to get seven asthma attacks from laughter from reading one book!

WOW!! You must really like the books! I loved how Carter and Sadie switched back and forth between chapters!

THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES IS AWESOME!!!!! But wait a second. Who said Heroes of Olympus isn't as good? But still, read Percy Jackson. One of the best series ever!
